M.E.I.’s Corporate Headquarters houses a Chemical and Bacteriological Lab that offers clients analysis for tests ranging from total coliform to herbicides to nitrates.  M.E.I. will provide all of the various sample kits for free.  Contact M.E.I. for specific tests and for any other questions. Chemical and Bacteriological Lab

M.E.I. Biological Laboratory offers quality aquatic organism testing services that include collection, counting, and identification of aquatic vertebrates and vegetation, with baseline mapping and interpretation of the biological data.

Additional Laboratory Services

• Identification of:

○ Plankton: A community of phytoplankton and zooplankton, suspended in the Water Column with population estimates.

○ Periphyton: A community of microscopic plants and animals associated with the surface of submerged objects.

○ Macrophytion: Larger plants that can be attached to the bottom (benthic), free-floating, totally submersed, or partly emergent.

○ Macroinvertebrates / Microinvertebrates

• Fish Taxonomic Identification and Population Census.

• Fish Kill Investigations.
