Osprey Nest at the University of Tampa
In October 2015, The University of Tampa instructed us to relocate an Osprey's nest that was nestled on top of the lights of their baseball field. They wanted us to construct a new nest and relocate it to a new pole. Check out the Osprey's new home, from "bird's eye view!"

The decline of big cats within the last 50 years is significant! Lion's from 110,000 to 35,000. Leopard's 80,600 to 23,664. Tiger's from 45,000 to 3,200 and Jaguar's from 60,000 to 15,000


Florida Panthers on the Rise
Florida biologists have raised their Panther population estimates, offering hope that conservation efforts are working. The latest estimate of adult and sub-adult Panthers is 120 to 230, up from 100 to 180 in 2014. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, only 20 to 30 Panthers were believed to roam the state. The new population estimates were developed by the FWC in conjunction with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service using trail cameras, road mortality statistics and other data.


Gopher Tortoise Relocation
USF Intern assists with a Gopher Tortoise . These tortoises are the only land tortoises east of the Mississippi River. Their life span is from 40 to 60 years. Meryman supports the next generation of environmental scientists. #GopherTortoise #Relocation
